Who we are

Camdell Technologies Private Limited ("Camdell", "we", "us") operates the Camdell merchant marketplace at camdell.in and related mobile applications. We are registered under the Companies Act, 2013 (CIN: U74999MH2024PTC000000) with our principal office in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

This policy applies to merchants using the Camdell merchant portal. Customer-facing privacy terms are published separately at the Camdell shopping app.

What we collect

We collect only what is necessary to run your shop and process your payouts:

• Identity: Business name, owner name, PAN, GSTIN (if provided).
• Contact: Mobile number, email address, WhatsApp handle.
• Payout details: UPI handle or bank IFSC/account number, verified by Razorpay. We do not store card numbers.
• Business data: Products, orders, customer order information, pricing, and catalog content you upload.
• Usage data: Log files, device type, browser, IP address, and pages visited on the merchant portal.

How we use your data

• Operate your shop: listing products, processing orders, routing deliveries.
• Process payouts to your UPI or bank via Razorpay.
• Generate GST invoices using your GSTIN.
• Send transactional notifications (order updates, payout confirmations).
• Improve the platform using aggregated, anonymised analytics.
• Comply with Indian law, including TDS deduction obligations.

We do not sell your business data. We do not run ads against your shop's customer list.

Razorpay & payments

All customer payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment aggregator regulated by the Reserve Bank of India. Camdell never sees or stores customer card details. Your payout bank details are shared with Razorpay for settlement verification under their privacy policy at razorpay.com/privacy.

Data sharing

We share your data only with:

• Razorpay — for payment processing and payout settlement.
• Delivery partners — courier name, address, and order value for fulfilment.
• Government authorities — as required by Indian law (IT Act, GST, TDS, court orders).
• Infrastructure providers — AWS India region, with data processing agreements in place.

Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active plus 7 years (as required for Indian tax records). You may request deletion of non-legally-required data at any time. Anonymised analytics are retained indefinitely.

Your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request erasure of data not required for legal compliance.
• Nominate a representative for data decisions.
• Grieve any data breach or misuse to our Data Protection Officer.

Exercise these rights by emailing privacy@camdell.in. We respond within 15 business days.

Cookies

We use cookies for session management, security, and aggregated analytics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser, but the merchant portal may not function correctly.

Changes to this policy

Material changes are notified via email and in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page is always current.
