How to write product descriptions that actually convert

Use our AI description tool or these proven frameworks to go from a blank page to 30% more add-to-cart.

The difference between a product that sells and one that sits is often just the words underneath it. Here's what actually works.

The one-sentence framework

Write this sentence first: *"[Product] is for [who] who want [outcome] without [pain point]."*

Example: "Our butter chicken is for busy families who want a restaurant-quality dinner without the wait."

That sentence becomes your description's spine. Everything else is detail.

Lead with the result

Don't describe what something is — describe what it does for the buyer. "Rich, slow-cooked gravy" beats "made with tomatoes and cream" every time.

Use the AI tool

Open any product in your dashboard and click "Generate description." Our AI writes 3 variations — pick the one closest to your voice and edit. Takes 20 seconds.

Numbers earn trust

  • "Serves 2-3" is more useful than "large portion"
  • "Ready in 25 minutes" beats "fast delivery"
  • "Feeds a family of 4 for ₹499" converts better than just listing a price

Keep it short

Mobile customers read the first 40 words and stop. Put your best sentence first. Use line breaks. No one reads a paragraph.
